Some Mapleton Park trail users say they are taking extra precautions after a woman was grabbed by a man on the trail Monday morning. Kristal LeBLanc, executive drector of Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre told the CBC "Here we are as women having to say we can't even go for a walk in a park in broad daylight. LeBlanc said communities should be working together, taking a stand and doing more to make women feel safer and empowered. She wants residents to speak to their city politicians. Monday's attack was the third incident in the city since April.
Police are still looking for information about Monday's attack in the park...

The giant Main Street cruise in happens today...as of now Main Street is closed from Mechanic Street to Lutz Street leaving the intersections of Main/Mechanic and Main/Lutz open. Botsford Street, from Main Street to Queen Street is closed, leaving the intersection of Botsford/Queen open. Westmorland Street, from Main Street to just past the entrance of the Moncton Market, is closed. Downing Street is also closed.

The City of Moncton says that they don't expect the Centennial Park pool to be open before next week. There's a serious problem with the liner of the pool and crews are working on it. The splash pad at Centennial Park is NOW OPEN THOUGH!

Congratulations Geneviève Lalonde! The Moncton runner won the Canadian title in the steeplechase yesterday at nationals...it's her very first senior women's title! She'll run for Canada later this Summer at the IAAF World Athletic Championships in London, England!

The Moncton Fisher Cats five game win streak is over...they lost 3-2 in Saint John last night. Moncton's next home game at Kiwanis Park is this Sunday night at 7pm against the Fredericton Royals.
