The price of gas went up two tenths of a cent last night...the new maximum for regular self serve is $1.06.8 a litre. Diesel and furnace oil actually dropped almost a cent.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued a recall for Presidents Choice Chicken Nuggets because of possible salmonella poisoning. The pub recipe nuggets have been sold nationwide in 800 gram boxes with a best-before date of March 15, 2018 and would have been sold before July 13. Check your freezer. The CFIA states that recalled products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase. Around here you can buy them at Superstore, Atlantic Wholesale, No Frills & Shoppers Drug Mart.

The City of Moncton issued an update on Centennial Beach yesterday...the pool has been closed because of a damaged liner for almost two weeks. The City says: "The water was drained and repairs were made to fix the liner. Over the next week, the pool will be filled, tested for water quality and monitored to ensure the liner is secured. We will provide another update next week as the crew continue the work to reopen the pool."


The Town of Riverview says that Darwin Drive, from Bloor Drive to Emery Street, will be closed to thru-traffic today (Thursday, July 13, 2017 weather permitting). This closure will allow for the installation of a new water main connection. Only emergency vehicles and local traffic will be permitted access to Darwin Drive during this time.

The City of Moncton says there will be lane reductions for microsurfacing on McLaughlin Drive, between Massey Avenue and Edmond Street, today-friday. More info CLICK HERE.

The City of Dieppe says there will be lane reductions for paving work starting today...The work will continue until August.
