Gas prices are supposed to go UP tonight when the EUB resets fuel rates here in the province. The Times & Transcript says a couple of cents...but the CBC gas guy is reporting that it might go up "3 or 4 cents". Regular self serve has been selling for around $1.06 at most places here in Greater Moncton.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau will be in Moncton today...he and Premier Brian Gallant will be making a stop at Wee College early childhood education centre. No details about the visit, but yesterday PEI signed an agreement with the feds that's getting them over $10 million for early childhood education in that province so we bet it's something similar. Later today the Prime Minister plans to visit the troubled Public Service Pay Centre in Miramichi.

That was an oil spill that slowed traffic on Wheeler last night for a couple of hours. Moncton Fire crews, Department of Transportation and City Works all responded for cleanup of the spill which happened around 10pm between the University Avenue overpass and the Connaught Street overpass. Codiac RCMP also responded and assisted with traffic control with one of the two westbound lanes closed for a bit.

The City of Dieppe says that Chartersville Road, between Gorveatte Street and Dieppe Boulevard, will be completely closed to traffic today (Wednesday, August 30), weather permitting. Detour signs will be in place on Dieppe Boulevard and Gorveatte Street.
