Experts say that gas prices are supposed to DROP by about 5 cents tonight! Right now regular self serve is selling for just under $1.22 at most places around Greater Moncton. Diesel isn't supposed to move much.

RCMP had to close a section of highway 2 near Memramcook for a number of hours because of an accident last evening...a fatal collision that involved an RCMP cruiser. Police say one person died in the crash and several were injured.

RCMP need your help finding a missing 15 year old Moncton girl. Shaylynn Farreen was reported missing on Monday (September 11th) Her family has not heard from her since that morning. She is described as 5' tall, 100 pounds with brown hair. She was last seen in Riverview wearing a teal rain jacket, a royal blue shirt and black tights. Anyone with information about the whereabouts of Shaylynn Farreen is asked to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400. (More info HERE)
Codiac RCMP are looking for your help locating an armed robbery suspect. On September 6th...shortly before 4 p.m...a man entered the UNI bank located at 305 St. George Street in Moncton. The man demanded money from the clerk and claimed he had a weapon. RCMP is looking for a Caucasian man, approximately 5'9", with a big build. He was wearing a black hoodie with light graphics on the hood and sleeves, and he was carrying a black backpack. Codiac RCMP is looking for your help finding a 35-year-old woman missing from Moncton. Melissa Gauthier was reported missing to the RCMP on September 10th...but she was last heard from on August 1st, and her family is concerned for her well-being. She is 5'2" tall, 150 pounds, with brown eyes, with long brown hair. She has a flower and vine tattoo on her left shoulder, a heartbeat tattoo on her right forearm and a heart on her left forearm. She wears prescription glasses. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Melissa Gauthier, or who may have seen her in recent days, is asked to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.

New data released from last year's census...New Brunswick households are earning less than anywhere else in the country. The median income level for households in our province is about $59,300...the national average is over $70,000...and it's highest in Alberta where households make an average of almost $94,000 a year.
The new data realese also tells a story about kids that live in low income households in cities...both Moncton and Saint John placed in the top ten in that category...not good...Saint John was second on the list...Moncton was 7th. 22% of all children in New Brunswick are being raised in a low income household...tied with Nova Scotia for the worst in the country.
