Flooding on Highway 106 at Anderson Mills Road between Memramcook and Dorchester could still be a problem today...yesterday that section was completely underwater...there was even a WHIRLPOOL! (Photos and video compliments of Wade Perry!)

A story in the Times & Transcript about how NB Power has dropped the New Brunswick company that has supplied them with power poles for 35 years, in favour of a company in Nova Scotia. Apparently Marwood in Tracyville even hustled to get about 1000 emergency power poles to crews up north during this year's ice storm...but NB Power confirms it has gone with Stella-Jones in the Truro area, actually owned by a Montreal conglomerate, because they're cheaper. PC MLA Jeff Carr says that decision will cost New Brunswick jobs.

In the NHL playoffs yesterday...Nashville won their series with St. Louis....the Predators are waiting for the winner of the Edmonton / Anaheim series...the Oilers beat the Ducks 7-1 last night to force a game 7. Pittsburgh hosts Washington tonight...the Penguins are up three games to two.

The NBA season is over for the Toronto Raptors...Cleveland beat them 109-102 yesterday to complete a four game sweep.

The Blue Jays beat Tampa 2-1 yesterday...Toronto took two out of three from the Rays on the weekend. The Red Sox beat the Twins 17-6!

The Moncton Miracles are down two games to none in their National Basketball League playoff series after 123-103 loss to Halifax yesterday. Game three goes Wednesday night at the Coliseum.
