After almost two and a half months the temporary bridge will open at some point today on Rte 114 at Stoney Creek! And three days before their mid-may target date even! The government is making some sort of "infrastructure announcement" for the Fundy region this afternoon at 2...1535 Rte 114 Lower Coverdale...we think that's gonna be at Brian's variety...not far from the Stoney Creek washout.

While we're talking about bridges...construction on the new $61 million Petitcodiac River Bridge that will replace the Causeway starts on Monday. Loosely translated...things are going to be slow.

The province says beginning August 1st, changes to the provincial portion of the Canada Student Loans Program will mean many students will be eligible for more financial assistance. It says students will only be expected to provide a fixed contribution between 15-hundred and three thousand dollars per academic year based on their family income and family size.

Funny story...the other night Stats Canada tweeted about the Bay of Fundy...said it was just in Nova Scotia...and showed a picture of the Hopewell Rocks! Tourism NB tweeted back..."Hey...we hate to be that province...but that there is Hopewell Rocks, New Brunswick. The other side of the Bay of Fundy.” They also linked to a tourismnewbrunswick.ca page touting “the world’s highest tides” in “New Brunswick’s Bay of Fundy.” #WhoopsieDingo!
